How to divide and add timestamps for a youtube video?

Did you ever see a Youtube video divided into chapters? 

In this blog, I will tell you how to do that in a simple way which takes just 5 minutes.

First of all, open youtube and go to the video that you want to divide and add timestamps from the Google Account using which you uploaded the video.

Click on "Edit Video". Then you will be redirected to the edit page where you can edit all the settings of the youtube video.

Go to the description and add your timestamps in this way.

⌛Timestamps⌛: 

1.Chapter 1 : 0:00 

2.Chapter 2 : 1:30

3.Chapter 3 : 5:10

Add a heading "Timestamps" for the people who read the description, it will be clear that these are timestamps and don't redirect to any site.

If you add timestamps in this way, then the video gets automatically divided into sections.

• If you divide your youtube video into chapters then your viewers can easily access and skip through your video easily.
• This also helps Google to show your video in the search suggestions.
• Most of the videos on the top results of Google have timestamps auto-generated, but, if you already have them Google ranks your site in the top.
• Try to be exact with the timestamps and mention each and every part of it.
• You can also name your parts of the video like this if you don't have many parts of the video.
